JLIR MAKES A DIFFERENCE IN THE COMMUNITY

Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC)

In 1992, the Junior League of Indian River founded the Volunteer Action Center.  The main focus of the Volunteer Action Center was the Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC).  The purpose of YVC was to draw young people ages 11-18 from diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds into supervised programs that promote skill building, problem solving and educational activities.

The YVC is now a part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County.  For more information on the YVC, please visit the Youth Volunteer Corps website.
