The Non-Profit Forum (Formerly Known As Brown Bag Program)

In 1993, the Junior League of Indian River introduced an innovative way for local leaders to get together to raise awareness of problems facing children and families.  Leaders "brown bagged" their lunch and met to network and problem solve.

Brought back in 2006, the Brown Bag program renewed its commitment to collaboration Non-Profit Forum Logoamong community leaders with monthly meetings guided by participants.  The Brown Bag program allowed non-profit leaders and volunteers to network and develop potential solutions to community needs.  Additionally, participants were provided with educational programs as dictated by their interests.

On June 1, 2008, the Brown Bag Program was officially transitioned from the Junior League of Indian River to the Cultural Council of Indian River County.  For more information on the Brown Bag Program, please visit the Cultural Council of Indian River County's website.

The Brown Bag Program is now called the Non-Profit Forum as this reflects the evolution of the program to include the Indian River Non-Profit Media Breakfast, the Marketing and Public Relations Workshop, and the Non-Profit Information Fair (Put Your Passion Into Action) as well as monthly networking meetings for non-profit leaders and members.
